Qualifications

College degree, knowledge and experience with serials, familiarity with bibliographic principles and procedures through training while employed as a serials receiver. Supervisory experience. Knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, and other computer applications. Knowledge of basic computer technology and its application to library operations; Excellent ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships; Extensive customer service training for courteously and tactfully assisting library patrons, vendors, publishers, and coworkers; Effective oral and written communication skills; Working knowledge of German and Spanish as well as familiarity with French and basic Japanese.
