Education

Over the years I have attended many colleges and two universities. I love learning.

From 1977 to 1981 I spent time taking a wide variety of classes at Lane Community College in Eugene, Oregon. Financial reasons prevented me from finishing my Associates Degree and I left the college a frustrating six credits short of graduation.

I returned to college in 1992. I took a year of classes at Clackamas Community College, in Oregon City, Oregon to get back into the habit of being a student. In 1993 I transferred to Marylhurst College (now called Marylhurst University) in Marylhurst, Oregon. I graduated from Marylhurst in 1996 with both a Bachelors Degree in Art and a Bachelors Degree in English Literature and Writing. I accepted a position with the Music Department at Marylhurst and continued to take classes while employed there.

I moved to Athens, Georgia in 1997. A year later, I enrolled in the University of Georgia as a non-traditional student. There I studied art history, Japanese history, and Japanese language until 2000, when I was prevented from continuing by the demands of my full time job.

In 2006, I decided to return to school once again. I was accepted and enrolled in the Master's program for Library Information Science at Florida State University. I graduated from the MLIS program in December 2008.

I began a new course of study at the University of Georgia in January 2009. I am pursuing a Master's of Education in the Instructional Psychology program with a concentration in Instructional Development and Design. My goal is to graduate in late 2010 or early 2011.
